Liverpool, England.

Liverpool is a bustling city with many assets: music, food, the beautiful river Mersey and of course, its rich history. It began as a borough in 1207 when King John announced its foundation, and slowly evolved into a popular maritime trading hub. Its climate is typical of the United Kingdom with mild winters, cool summers, and rain (which surprisingly does not deter me from spending three months studying there). Although there is a lot to do in the city, travelling is easy to do with John Lennon International Airport close by and the city of Manchester only 45 minutes away by bus. Many tourists visit Liverpool each year for its connection to The Beatles and its football (soccer as we Americans call it), however, there is more to Liverpool than meets the eye.
